What is Health Coaching?

Health coaching is a form of personal development that focuses on physical habits like diet, exercise, and sleep. It is a client-centered approach in which clients identify their health goals and work with a coach to develop a plan to achieve them. Health coaches use a variety of techniques such as motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, and goal setting to help clients achieve their goals. Health coaching is a holistic approach to wellness that takes into account the whole person and their lifestyle to improve their overall quality of life.

What is Life Coaching?

Life coaching offers guidance, support, and accountability to clients who want to make positive changes in their personal and professional lives. The focus of life coaching is on empowering clients to reach their full potential and live a fulfilling life. Life coaching helps clients to identify their strengths, values, and goals to strategize a plan for achieving their desired outcomes. Topics included in life coaching can include, but are not limited to, relationships, career, personal growth, and overall life satisfaction.

What is Brain Health Coaching and how does it play a role in Health & Life Coaching?

Brain Health coaching focuses on promoting brain plasticity, which is the brain's ability to adapt throughout life. Brain Health coaches work with clients to identify areas of their life that may be impacting their brain's physical health such as diet, exercise, stress, sleep, and mental stimulation. When we nurture our brain's health it is easier to nurture all other parts of our wellbeing. Brain health coaching uses a variety of interventions such as cognitive training exercises, mindfulness practices, lifestyle modifications, as well as implementing levels of exercise the client is comfortable with and supplements. Taking steps toward cultivating brain health can help with weight loss, preventing weight-related diseases like diabetes and cardiovascular disease, boosting your mood and motivation, coping with symptoms of anxiety and depression, promote better sleep habits, elevate self-confidence, and help to reduce the risk of developing Alzheimer's and dementia later in life.
